No, I'm not departing the planet for parts unknown just yet but I DID FINALLY get to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy at the local cheap-as-fuck second run movie place. I even brought my own towel which I proceeded to wear the rest of the day. As for my opinion of the film? Well, it was good enough... I was hardly bowled over but it was decent enough so that I didn't exit the theater completely disappointed and any excuse to see Martin Freeman on a ginormous screen is worth the price of admission (all of $.50 because we caught the first show of the day). And Mos Def made a suprisingly good Ford. Not the way I pictured him personally, but very good just the same.
And as can be expected, Harry Potter mania has gripped our local bookseller on this, the eve of the 6th book's release. Dad and I stopped by briefly to grab a couple of Harry Potter themed drinks at the cafe there and check in with Mumsy who was keeping a relatively detached watch on the proceedings. As far as I can make out, Borders version of Butterbeer is caramel syrup, milk and soda water but BOY is it ever tasty. But as far as the book goes, I'm staying as far from the madness as possible.
In the words of Sifl & Olly... WHATEVAH!

It cost you $0.50 to go to the cinema?! When I saw War Of The Worlds the other day it cost me £5.80, which is about $10 or something. England's so bloody expensive. :( Not fair!
